A beautifully curved seating area constructed from high-quality Derbyshire stone beautifully complements the shaped Raj Indian patio. At the very centre of this inviting space is a charming fire pit, perfect for gathering around. In the background, what was once an old road has been carefully excavated, then meticulously covered in rich topsoil and lush turf, transforming it into a picturesque landscape. The views from this spot are truly stunning, creating an atmosphere that's definitely worth enjoying during a peaceful evening spent by the warmth of the fire.

Retaining wall planter in reclaimed bricks and kandha grey paving and coping stones. The garden was levelled and returfed

A beautifully designed retaining wall was meticulously constructed, incorporating raised planters that add both functionality and aesthetic appeal. This impressive retaining structure was built using reclaimed bricks, giving it a charming, rustic feel, and features elegant kandla grey coping stones along the top. To enhance the outdoor space further, a stunning kandla grey Indian sandstone patio was installed, providing a perfect area for relaxation and entertainment. Steps gracefully rise up to a newly established lawn garden, creating an inviting transition between the patio and the lush greenery.

We constructed a large block and york stone retaining wall along with beautifully designed steps. These features elegantly rise up to a spacious patio made of high-quality raj Indian sandstone. The site presented a considerable slope, so a variety of retaining walls were thoughtfully constructed to effectively break up the steep incline. This work significantly enhances the overall design, making the garden a more functional and enjoyable outdoor space for the homeowners to utilize and appreciate.

A new wall constructed from artificial stone, along with freshly installed fencing and the careful laying of new turf, significantly enhances the overall aesthetic appeal of this front garden. The thoughtfully designed circular bed positioned in the centre effectively breaks up the otherwise uniform rectangular shapes, while the rounded palings provide an additional layer of visual interest and charm.

Old deck and joists removed and replaced with composite deck, new steps and handrails. Thought the wooden balustrades looked better than the composite in this Carterknowle garden

New wall, pillars and steps with 50mm Indian stone toppers. The pillar caps have been left off to prepare for cable and decorative lights. We decked from the back of the property to the wall in composite decking from Hardcores builders merchants in Sheffield, who also supplied the Indian paving.

Some Deck work Sheffield

We initially struggled to source Yellow Balau timber for building this beautiful deck because the severe timber shortages delayed our plans that were originally scheduled for June. Unfortunately, we did not begin construction until October, which significantly set back our timeline. In the end, we had to make the decision to use Lignia as an alternative. Despite the challenges we faced, the finished deck turned out looking absolutely lovely!

Drive way in Yorkshire cream and corrugated steel raised beds

We finally managed to successfully finish this challenging project during the summer after enduring a year of heavy rain, which significantly prevented us from completing both the turfing and the driveway. The fencing we chose was sourced from Jackson Fencing and looked particularly well in contrast to the beautiful York paving from Huddersfield. Additionally, the Yorkshire cream pebble and the cream corrugated raised beds all worked harmoniously together, enhancing the overall appearance of the landscape.
